Changmin of TVXQ shared his honest thoughts on the viral “frozen jelly” trend, raising concerns about its health impact.
On March 17, Changmin appeared on the YouTube channel 'Saego_F5', where he was introduced to the popular snack known as “eolmuk jelly,” or frozen jelly. Initially hesitant, he questioned its popularity, asking staff if they had actually tried it and what it really tasted like.

After taking a bite, Changmin expressed clear discomfort, describing the snack as “basically an oil lump” and warning that it could undermine dieting efforts. “If you’re trying to lose weight but eating jelly like this, it’s pointless,” he remarked.
Though he acknowledged that some might enjoy the chewy texture, he admitted that he is not particularly fond of jelly in general, citing concerns about its manufacturing process and ingredients.
Changmin also compared the trend to other viral snacks, such as “Dubai chewy cookies,” noting how quickly food trends come and go. While he ultimately found the cookie slightly more tolerable due to its ingredients, he maintained a cautious stance on such indulgent treats.
His candid reaction and humorous honesty drew attention from viewers, sparking discussion about viral food trends and health awareness.
