'Undercover Miss Hong' actress Choi Ji Soo reveals she still works part-time six days a week while pursuing her acting career

Actress Choi Ji Soo revealed that she is still balancing multiple part-time jobs while continuing her acting career.

On March 15, the 'You Quiz on the Block' production team shared a preview clip along with the message, “Kang Nora from 'Undercover Miss Hong'! Actress Choi Ji Soo is coming to You Quiz.”

The video features Choi Ji Soo, who recently appeared in the 'Undercover Miss Hong' as Kang Nora, a second-generation chaebol heir. In the preview, she opens up about her numerous part-time jobs and her realistic daily life behind the scenes.

During the episode, host Yoo Jae Suk told her, “I heard that in real life you’re basically the king of part-time jobs. They say there’s no job you haven’t tried.”

Choi Ji Soo responded, “I’ve worked wearing mascot costumes, at logistics centers, and in restaurants. I’m still doing part-time work now. I even go to work tomorrow.” She added, “I work part-time six days a week, and on my one day off, I go to auditions,” surprising everyone.

When Yoo Jae Suk asked what her parents think about it, Choi Ji Soo became teary-eyed while talking about her family. She explained, “The reason I seriously started working factory jobs was to pay off my student loans,” sharing the reality behind her situation. She added, “I think my mom cried a lot when she saw me working at the factory,” drawing sympathy.

Choi Ji Soo also delivered a heartfelt video message to her mother. “Thank you so much for supporting my dream even when everyone else said it wouldn’t work out,” she said, eventually breaking into tears. Her determination to pursue her dream and her gratitude toward her family moved viewers.

Meanwhile, episode 335 of You Quiz on the Block, airing at 8:45 PM on March 18, will feature several guests, including Ye Rin Ha, the Korean lead of Bridgerton Season 4 and granddaughter of veteran actress Son Sook; acclaimed actress Yum Hye Ran; Choi Ji Soo, who played a chaebol heir in Undercover Miss Hong but is known in real life for her many part-time jobs; and short track legend Choi Min Jung, who will appear on the show for the first time alongside her mother.
