G-Dragon showcases influence as a fashion trendsetter once again.
On November 4 KST, photos of G-Dragon wearing acupressure slippers went viral on online communities and social media, sparking an explosive response.
The photos, posted on G-Dragon’s secondary Instagram account, show him wearing acupressure slippers on the set of his new music video for "Power". Despite the slippers being a common, inexpensive item, G-Dragon’s unique style gave them a “trendsetter” appeal, drawing praise.
The slippers, which retail for around 10,000 KRW (approximately 7 USD), sold out quickly after the photo was released. Some online stores even raised prices to nearly 17 times the original amount due to the sudden demand.
On the same day, G-Dragon attracted further attention at Incheon International Airport, on his way to attend a Chanel show in Hong Kong. He arrived in a Tesla Cybertruck, a model not yet available in Korea, adding to his distinctive image. He also wore a unique Chanel scarf, once again showcasing his iconic fashion sense.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon’s new single Power, released on October 31, has topped various music charts, proving his enduring popularity. Fans are highly anticipating his upcoming performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards on November 23.
