Recording of The Givers CEO An Sung Il’s alleged tampering with Fifty Fifty released.
On September 11th KST, a recording surfaced that allegedly provides evidence of tampering by An Sung Il, CEO of The Givers, regarding the K-pop group FIFTY FIFTY. The recording, reportedly from a meeting in May 2023 at The Givers’ office, captures conversations between An Sung Il, former FIFTY FIFTY members, and their parents.
In the recording, An Sung Il reportedly made disparaging remarks about Attract CEO Jeon Hong Joon, discussed financial issues related to settlements and advances, and proposed that the members file an injunction and transfer to Warner Music.
An Sung Il also falsely claimed to have connections with major industry figures and projects. At one point, he stated, “Adore reached out. Director Min Hee Jin offered a sum and asked me to manage their new rookie group,” despite having no personal connection to Min Hee Jin.
Following these meetings, the parents of the former Fifty Fifty members reportedly met with An Sung Il and Warner Music four days apart to discuss ways to leave Attract, raising further evidence of a tampering attempt.
Three former Fifty Fifty members—Sae Na, Aran, and Sio—who are currently engaged in legal battles with Attract, recently signed with Massive VNC, a label under IOK Company, and announced plans to resume activities. However, public opinion remains skeptical, and with this new evidence, their efforts may face additional challenges.
Meanwhile, Keena, who returned to Attract, is preparing for a comeback with other Attract trainees Hana, Athena, Moon Chanelle, and Yewon, as member of Fifty Fifty.
