The netizen wrote on social media X, "It seems like Red Velvet might be the last all-Korean girl group created by a major entertainment agency. With the population declining, the number of Korean beauties will decrease, and the Korean market itself will shrink. However, other Korean netizens refuted the argument by naming more girl groups with all Korean members that debuted after Red Velvet.

One netizen countered the speculation by sharing a video clip from an old Korean drama, where an actress repeatedly says, '있지 (it ji or ITZY),' which is "You see," in Korean.

Other netizens joined the conversation also pointing out that NMIXX from JYP Entertainment also has all Korean members.
