Actor Byun Woo Seok shared his plans for the first Monday evening following the conclusion of the drama 'Lovely Runner' in an interview with Sports Kyunghyang.
The interview took place on June 3, following the drama's finale, where Byun Woo Seok had the opportunity to address various questions related to the show and his future endeavors.
'Lovely Runner' wrapped up its run on tvN on May 28, securing solid ratings in the 5-7% range and achieving near-syndrome status by dominating various metrics of popularity.
Byun Woo Seok, known for portraying the character Ryu Sun Jae, garnered acclaim for his role, which resonated with viewers through its portrayal of a character holding onto a pure love letter from his first love.
However, the transition to life post-drama feels somewhat unfamiliar to him. During the interview on June 3, he reflected on the experience of facing the first Monday without Sunjae.
Byun Woo Seok shared, "During the broadcast period, I usually had a routine of exercising at 8 PM. When I go home, it's usually the end of 'Lovely Runner,' so I watch the live broadcast until the end, and then watch it again on OTT when it's uploaded later."
Regarding his plans for June 3, he mentioned, "Since I can't do that anymore, I think I'll be thinking 'Sunjae isn't coming' while eating delicious fruit. I think I'll just sit on the couch and absentmindedly eat fruit."
He also expressed his fondness for revisiting his previous works, stating, "Personally, I don't want to say goodbye to Sunjae quickly. If I have time, I want to binge-watch from the first episode."
Meanwhile, 'Lovely Runner' depicts the story of passionate fan Lim Sol (Kim Hye Yoon), who embarks on a time-travel journey to save Ryu Sun Jae, her beloved character, and their poignant love story, which concluded last month.
Byun Woo Seok intends to take a brief hiatus and prepare for a fan meeting scheduled for July 6 and 7.
