Woman 'A' has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for assaulting and blackmailing her celebrity boyfriend 'B.'

According to reports on March 1, 36-year-old 'A' dated 'B,' a celebrity in his 30s, for about 10 days in August of 2022. When 'B' broke things off with her, she suddenly demanded 5 million won ($3,745.43 USD) from him, threatening to post details about him online if he refused. 

'B' refused and revealed he only had 2.4 million won ($1,797.74 USD) in his bank account. However, 'A' then demanded what money he had and slapped him 10 times. It's also claimed she entered 'B's home by force, sent over 800 threatening messages, and posted allegations on social media that he gave her herpes.

During investigations, 'A' continued to make allegations against 'B,' but they were found to be false. The Euijeongbu District Court found her guilty of extortion, assault, intrusion, and defamation, stating, "The defendant committed a serious crime demanding money for no reason. She also assaulted him and posted lies about the victim, whose social image is very important."
