We have all been in situations where we root for the second lead more than the main male lead. Come on, we must have watched so many K-dramas praying that our favorite beloved second lead gets the girl. But let’s face it: Something like that is a rarity. It hardly happens, but when it does, it feels so good.

This makes the ending bittersweet yet fresh, with the female lead ending up with the second lead.

I DON'T AGREE w everything, specially WangRin (second leader) from 'The King In Love'.
THE KING IN LOVE is a good drama with a great cast, (yoona and siwan are excellent actors, and jonghyun is a decent actor), but unfortunately with an unfair and disappointing ending and useless writer, since the female leader (yoona as 'eun san') did not ends up with the male leader (siwan as 'wang won'), WON who gave everything and risked everything for SAN, he who showed that he loved her more cause he let her be free, even if this shatters his heart for the rest of his life. WON (siwan) who was a good man/prince/king, he who loved her and always showed it to SAN (yoona, main female leader). He even always protected her.
WON wanted Wang RIN (jonhgyun) like a brother and best friend, WON never discriminated RIN for reasons of social class, WON even protected him, WON (main male leader) trusted RIN, that was his mistake, because RIN (second leader) preferred to conspire behind his back, he preferred to betray him and then play the role of victim n false savior. He was a false friend.
I REALLY hope siwan and yoona do a new kdrama together, where they can ends up together as a couple. They are both great actors.
