Fans of Red Velvet's Seulgi raise concerns about alleged stalker

AKP STAFF

Fans of Red Velvet's Seulgi are raising concerns about an alleged stalker.

On Nate's community forum Pann, a netizen made a post about Seulgi's alleged stalker under the title, "Oh my God. I think Seulgi's being stalked," adding, "It seems like it's a foreigner living in Korea." According to the screenshots from the poster, the alleged stalker is using multiple account names on social media to leave messages for the Red Velvet member.

In their comments written in poor Korean, the alleged stalker warns Seulgi not to contact any male idols like GOT7's BamBam and NCT, who are known to be friends with the Red Velvet member. They wrote, "Seulgi, are you awake? I see your lights are still on. What are you doing? Don't sleep too late. It'd be better if you didn't message BamBam again. It's so stressful and worrying. Don't reply to him late at night or before you sleep. Sleep well and warm at night. Don't DM him before you go to sleep. Or NCT. Don't love anyone first. I'm still on the floor below you. I'm going soon because it's too cold. You're mine. I love you, my bear."

The so-called stalker also wrote, "Don't let anyone beside you, especially at nighttime. Don't love anyone first. I'm still around the Gangnam area. I'll go to your place. I passed by your place at night. The lights weren't on. You're mine." What's especially concerning to fans is that the alleged stalker left comments about where Seulgi went that day or who she met up with.

A concerned fan has now sent a notice to SM Entertainment to warn the label about the alleged stalker, stating, "I'm reporting this because someone has been posting stalker-like posts about Seulgi on social media. They are continuing to post photos and comments on Instagram about her personal life. The stalking content includes whether the lights are on or off at her house, being on the lower floor of her home, Gangnam, and SM Town. I think they're a foreigner living in Korea."

SM Entertainment has not yet commented on the situation.

Highly concerning. I was hoping this was an article about how they caught this stalker. SM will need to provide a personal security detail for Seulgi.

Ever sense I heard of Björk’s stalker story, hearing the word itself makes my hair stand up. Wishing Seulgi all the safety, security and love she deserves, it’s a scary world we live in.
