The highly anticipated television drama ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri’ from JTBC, is on the verge of its much-awaited premiere.
The story sets into motion around two childhood friends from a small town named Jo Yong Pil (played by Ji Chang Wook) and Jo Sam Dal (portrayed by Shin Hye Sun). The unexpected loss of Yong Pil's mother due to a faulty weather report propels him to pursue a career as a weather forecaster. A driving motivation for him is to protect his hometown's elders from suffering a similar fate. Yong Pil's intense passion and steadfast refusal to tolerate misinformation earns him a reputation as a stubborn troublemaker, adding an element of complexity to the character.
In contrast, Sam Dal moves to the bustling city of Seoul to chase her dreams of establishing herself as a successful fashion photographer. Yet when her world unexpectedly crumbles, she finds solace in her hometown and in her reunion with Yong Pil. Despite a past incident that has created a schism between them, their affection for one another remains unfazed.
Accompanying an official announcement was a teaser poster unveiling an unmistakable chemistry between the leads, Shin Hye Sun and Ji Chang Wook.
‘Welcome to Samdal-ri’ is slated to premiere on Saturday, December 2 KST.
