On July 4 KST, Y1 Entertainment announced that it has recently signed an exclusive contract with actress Hwang Jung Eum.
Hwang Jung Eum made her debut in 2002 with her group Sugar, then started her career as an actress. In 2009 she won the Best New Actress Award for TV at the '46th Baeksang Arts Awards' for her performance in 'High Kick Through the Roof'. Since then, she has appeared in the dramas 'Can You Hear My Heart', 'Golden Time', 'Incarnation of Money' and 'Secret Love', and has solidified her filmography.
In 2015, she was in 'Kill Me, Heal Me' and 'She Was Pretty', and in that year, she received the Best Actress Award at the MBC Drama Awards, as well as the Actor of the Year Award selected by the drama producers of the three broadcasting companies.
After a three-year hiatus from the small screen, Hwang Jung Eum is set to make her comeback in the upcoming SBS drama '7 Escape', which is scheduled to air in September. She will portray Geum Ra Hee, the head of a competent and audacious drama production company.
