YoonA and Junho's 'King the Land' faced much criticism after the premiere.

On June 17th, JTBC's new rom-com drama series 'King the Land' premiered. But many viewers expressed their disappointment following the first episode of the series. Despite the impressive cast, many viewers have found the drama to be behind the times as the show portrayed the hotelier profession in an outdated stereotypical way.

Some of the comments are: "The script was written in such a bad fashion it felt like I was watching an early '00s cliched rom-com."

"This show felt like the writer just boiled down all the problematic parts of the earlier dramas in '00s."

"I hoped it to be a fun twist on a cliched plot but it definitely was not what I expected."

"As someone who works at a hotel, I was pissed."

"I only liked the scene where the two met. The writer did not do a good job."

"I haven't seen this bad of a drama in a long time so it was refreshing in that sense."

"I got a feeling that I was watching a show 20 years ago in a higher resolution."

Meanwhile, 'King the Land' tells the story of Goo Won (played by Junho) who is the heir of a luxury hotel conglomerate, who was thrown into an inheritance war, and Cheon Sa Rang (played by YoonA), a hotelier who always has a smile on her face till she meets Goo Won.

The acting was great and it's only the first episode so I don't get why people are complaining?

Of all the many positive articles w/ positive comment praising 'King The Land' and the acting of YoonA, Junho and the cast in general, and also its good rating

... but AKP chooses to translate & post 1 negative article (...believe it is the only one negative article) w/negative comments, Why? bcos marketing reasons?, or maybe akp doesn't like YoonA or Junho, and the fact that her/his kdrama did well?.

😎 This is the 1st EPISODE (or pilot episode), KTL's GOOD👍, it's better than I expected, even though I'm not a fan of "rich boy and poor girl or middle class" kdramas, I prefer series like "breaking bad". but KTL is so good!.

Also, the acting of the entire cast of TKL was good to excellent, especially YoonA's acting. she's an amazing genius artist (In 2019, YoonA was even recognized as the BEST ACTRESS by more 200 experts). 👍

The only thing I didn't like in TKL is YoonA's sloppy visual bcos her face looks so overweight and with basic bareface which makes her look some tired & also older. I hope that for her next projects, YoonA'll take care of her visual specially her face and hair, doing more exercises to return to her beautiful natural slim face again, and also wears more makeup to highlight her beauty, and even changing the color of her hair, an ash blonde would suit her very well.
