Actor Yoo Ah In's 4 friends have reportedly been criminally charged for illegal drug use.
Previous reports revealed additional accomplices around Yoo Ah In were also being investigated for illegal drug use, and on May 3, police are reported to have booked 4 individuals in Yoo Ah In's circle. They're said to include a YouTuber, a screenwriter who graduated art college, and more.
According to reports, the 4 entered the country with Yoo Ah In when they returned from the United States on February 5. Though they were simply witnesses at the beginning of the investigation, they're suspected of helping Yoo Ah In access drugs or take drugs themselves. At the end of last month, a few tested positive for marijuana, and there were additional search and seizures of their residences.
As previously reported, Yoo Ah In is facing a controversy for abusing drugs like propofol, marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine, even injecting propofol 73 times in one year.

Well, for all those wondering “How did none of those close to him know what was going on”- they knew, and now it’s clear that at minimum a handful of them were doing it too. Someone with a clear addiction like Yoo Ah In’s doesn’t just fly under the radar, especially for how much and what a variety he was doing. He may have said something, but we also have to remember that they took his electronics and searched not only his home, but his parents (where he often stayed) as well. So from messaging alone they likely figured out not only who he was getting everything from, but who was participating with him.
