The Blue Tree Foundation (Youth Violence Prevention Foundation) announced on February 16 KST that Super Junior's Heechul donated 100 million won by participating in the sponsorship for the healing and recovery of youth victims of school bullying.
The Blue Tree Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing youth school bullying. Established in 1995 by a father who lost his only son due to school violence, it was created to raise awareness of the seriousness of school bullying for the first time in Korea and to prevent and help heal from school bullying.
Through the Blue Tree Foundation, Heechul stated, “I wanted to help teenagers who were victims of school bullying. Victims of school bullying live with mental and physical scars for the rest of their lives.”
Kim Gyeong Seong, chairman of the Blue Tree Foundation, said, “I sincerely thank Heechul for participating in the support to spread youth non-bullying culture, and I will do my best to help teenagers who have been victims of school bullying regain their daily lives.”
