Fortune Magazine recently released an article ranking the Top 5 countries showing their 'soft power impact during FIFA World Cup 2022.

France ranked at #1, and South Korea ranked as a runner-up at #2. Morroco ranked at #3, Japan at #4, and Saudi Arabia at #5 in terms of the 'Soft Power rankings' of countries by Fortune in the World Cup.

“South Korea’s first match at the tournament came after an appearance by the singer Jung Kook at the opening ceremony. Jung Kook is a singer with BTS, a band that has been at the forefront of what has become known as the “Korean wave” (or K-wave) which put the country center stage globally in cinema, television, and music.”

Korean Media highlighted the news of South Korea ranking at #2 in Soft Power rankings in World Cup due to the major impact of JungKook's performance at the opening ceremony with:
