On November 28, girl group Red Velvet made their highly-anticipated return with the eighth mini-album, 'The ReVe Festival 2022 - Birthday,' which features the title song "Birthday." On the same day, the final first-day sales count for the album ended, and according to the data released by Hanteo, Red Velvet's 'The ReVe Festival 2022 - Birthday' recorded 392,000 copies sold on the first day of release, setting a new record for the group.
'The ReVe Festival 2022 - Birthday' has become the group's best-selling album in first-day sales, surpassing the number of copies their seventh mini-album 'The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm' had, which accumulated over 231,000 units sold on the first day of its release.
