BLACKPINK becomes the first girl group in history to earn over $3 million for a single arena-concert in the US

AKP STAFF

BLACKPINK is one of the most iconic girl groups in their generation. They are an immense influence worldwide as they have become a brand of their own.

This year, BLACKPINK started their world tour after releasing their long-awaited second studio album 'BORN PINK.' The tour began on October 15 and will continue until next year. This is one of the most looked-forward-to tours since many fans have been waiting so long for one.

The girls are making stops in cities all over the world in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The North American leg of the tour is nearing the end, with only two more shows in Los Angeles at the Banc of California Stadium on November 19 and 20, and the girls are already setting records.

BLACKPINK recently broke a new record after their latest shows in Newark and now holds the record for the highest-grossing U.S. concert by a female group. The record was broken with their performance at the Prudential Center in Newark on November 14-15, grossing 3.298 million USD each night. This is the first time in history that a girl group earned over 3 million USD in a single arena-concert in the United States, and they did not only once but twice at the Prudential Center.

With their continuing popularity, BLACKPINK is expected to break more records as they travel across the world in this latest tour.

Uhm.. arenas aren't that big. So if it's a record in $$$, then fans are just paying record prices for tickets.

I mean with the price of tickets it’s not surprising. Even BTS tickets weren’t this pricey
