Jimin's love for the BTS ARMY is as permanent as a tattoo!

On September 18 KST, the idol greeted fans through a Weverse live broadcast, where he caught up viewers on his life. During one point of the broadcast, he shared a story about his moon tattoo. Originally, there was only one crescent moon on his neck. However, groupmate V showed him Jimin fanart with five moon phases going down his spine, which inspired him to go back and add the other four moons.

"Everyone, there's a moon tattoo on my back, as you know. Taehyung sent me the [fanart] picture while saying, 'Jimin, check this out.' I said, 'Wow, it's so pretty and well drawn,' and I did [the rest of] my tattoo just like it," Jimin confessed. "Originally, there had only been one moon on my back, but now there's five." He then tried to give fans a closer look by playfully pulling back his shirt collar and angling toward the camera but had a hard time showing it.

"Right now showing you my back is a bit difficult, but whenever I get the opportunity, I'll show it to you," he promised the viewers.

News that a fan had inspired Jimin's tattoo quickly became a hot topic on social media as well as online communities. In one online community post titled "BTS's Jimin, who said he liked a fanart so he got a tattoo just like it. Wow, the person who drew that fanart is absolutely a successful fan," Korean ARMY expressed their reaction to Jimin's story while imagining the successful fan's reaction.

Comments included, "Wow, they're a successful fan legend," "I should have been born as someone good at drawing," "Starting today, I'm giving up on my [art school] graduation exhibition and only drawing my face tattooed on Changkyun [MONSTA X's I.M]," "I'm so touched... I'm happy to be a fan of an idol like this," "Someone having both that baby chick-like face and that massive tattoo is a little bit of a whiplash," and "I want to be a successful fan too."
