Girls' Generation fans showed their love for the group in a creative way this weekend!

On September 3 KST, SM Entertainment's veteran girl group held a fan event at Olympic Park's KSPO Dome in Seoul titled '2022 Girls' Generation Special Event - Long Lasting Love.' The event, which was held to commemorate the group's 15th debut anniversary, was the first one held by the group in five years, and all seats were sold out, including seats with limited visibility. The 'Beyond Live' online alternative was also accessed by fans in 96 regions around the world, including the U.S., Japan, China, Indonesia, and Thailand.

While many moments from the event have been making their rounds across social media, perhaps the most surprising one is the many ways fans interpreted the event's 'pink cosmic fiesta' dress code. Instead of opting for simply a pink shirt or accessory, many fans were seen in head-to-toe pink as well as fun all-pink versions of popular pop culture characters like Thanos and the Pink Power Ranger, costumes like aliens, babies, gorillas, and fish shop butchers.

Photos fans took of these costumes quickly spread through online communities, with one poster writing, "The fans that attended Girls' Generation's fan meeting with a pink dress code, Ahh hahahahaha.."

Netizens leaving comments on the photos were humored by the fans' unique gesture, saying, "So cute," "This is so funny," "The hairy gorilla among these was crazy. Hahaha, so freaking funny," "Thanos and the fish are the funniest," and "They're even more extra than NCTzens." One netizen also mentioned that they attended the event in a cockroach costume, while another said they spotted some of these fans while heading to the MONSTA X show the next venue over.
