On September 8, 2022, it was announced that MAMAMOO's MoonByul has been selected as the new brand ambassador for 'The Greatea' Kombucha. The Maeil Company stated: "<....> We chose MAMAMOO's Moonbyul as the ambassador because she enjoys Kombucha and she portrays a healthy and joyful image. And also because she has been actively communicating with her subscribers on her SNS Channel. We are looking forward to letting more people know about The Greatea."

The company further added that fans could expect a lot of different digital content coming from the idol for the promotion of the drink on YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok, etc. Much to the delight of fans, the company also mentioned that there are plans to release limited edition goods for the idol's fans as well. However, did not clarify what the goods would be at this point in time. The announcement made by the company made fans very excited, as MoonByul is known to take endorsements seriously and would not recommend a brand she did not truly enjoy.

Following the brand's announcement, an Instagram reel was posted on Maeils official Instagram account, where  MAMAMOO MoonByul addressed her fans herself, this time as the brand Kombucha model. Where she notes that kombucha is her favorite beverage these days, something the idol has even mentioned previously in videos on her personal YouTube channel ("moonbyul2da"). 

A lot of fans are pointing to one of Moonbyul's newest videos titled "Moonbyul2da who experiences itㅣExperiencing a tea ceremony that calms(?) your mind," posted in the month of August. In the video, the idol was asked about her favorite drink during a tea-drinking ceremony. The idol stated that her favorite drink currently is kombucha.

Continuing her address to moomoos as the kombucha brand's new ambassador, Moonbyul clarified that she switched from drinking sugary soft drinks to kombucha sometime ago in order to take her of her body better. Since when compared to sugary soft drinks, the fermented carbonation of the drinks is the healthier option when craving something sweet to drink. Additionally, Moonbyul made sure to mention that the drink is also filled with dietary fiber and prebiotics, which is good for the body. 

The female idol ended the Instagram video by jokingly teasing everyone to have a glass of 'The Greatea' Kombucha and to make sure to have a great day as well, much to the delight of the fans. Although further details of the digital content and limited edition goods have yet to be announced by either the idol or brand, fans are excited for what is to come and can't wait to try the drink.
