INFINITE's Sungjong announces new start on social media

INFINITE's Sungjong announced a new start on social media.

On August 16, Sungjong posted to his official fan cafe page, revealing his intentions for his future activities. He expressed, "Thank you for your kind attention to my official accounts, which were revealed today. I'm glad to announce a new start at the end of the summer. With an infinite number of possibilities, I'll show you many different sides of me. I'll strive to repay your love. Thank you."

In related news, Sungjong parted ways with Woollim Entertainment after 13 years this past January.

I don't get why woolim didn't give him job...

He is good on stage, he is really good at variety etc.... They did him dirty

Woolim really did him dirty. He stayed loyal to the company for so long and they did NOTHING with him. He had so much potential and wanted to do a lot of things, but outside of INFINITE activities, they gave him very little activities. I remember on weekly idol in like 2018 he straight up said "I'm not busy at all" to the MCs, this was during the time where various members were going in to the military and doing solo stuff. He said he asked the CEO for some schedules and he was told "Go back and be a trainee and practice" mind you, Sungjong an Infinite had already been around for 8 years at that point. I'm still pissed that Woolim gave him very little opportunity to grow as an individual artist and basically put him in the basement unless it was Infinite activities.

Hopfully we get to see amazing things from him going forward.
