imho they got a lot of hate because they get a lot of "entitlement/ privileges" thanks to debuting from a Big 3 agency compared to groups from smaller agencies (in a way, Le Sserafim also got a lot of hate but most of it is channeled via Garam-bashing). a lot of people stan groups from smaller agencies who have to work their ass off to get recognition, opportunities and popularity (e.g. Loona, Brave Girls, OMG, etc.) - then they see groups like Aespa with the SM machine behind it with all the media clout hyping and opening doors for them despite being rookies whose talent and music may not be way better than smaller groups. i guess you can call it jealousy or feeling of unfairness.

These are possible reasons why aespa gets hate.

1 at the time of debut lot of plagiarizing controversies, like copying some artists art work and lot of similar dance steps with other groups.

2 sm saying aespa is next blackpink. So blinks didn't liked that.

3 they have been getting lot of hate for excess plastic surgery.

4 Giselle n word controversy

5 Giselle disrespecting indian culture controversy

6 winter abusing animal controversy

7 members doing lip synking all the time.(except few performances)

8 karina bullying controversy that popped up at the time of their debut(but allegedly has been debunked by their fans, but no word from sm)

9 winter lazy dancing controversy

10 members having no stage presence and looking all dull on the stage.(fans except more from them as they are this big)

these are the only controversies I could think of. I think ningning is the only one who is free of any controversy and she's also the least hated person in the group..

so it's not that they are getting hate for no reason. There are reasons that's why they are getting hated for.
