Numerous celebrities post Jimin on their social media as media outlets worldwide highlight his speech in news reports on #BTSatTheWhiteHouse

BTS recently paid a visit to the White House to discuss the prevalence of anti-Asian hate crimes in recent times and to foster Asian representation and inclusion. Being the artists with the biggest and most culturally, racially, and demographically diverse fandom globally and being of Asian descent themselves, there could not have been a better representative to speak on and raise awareness on this issue.

On visiting the White House, among many other activities, the group spoke a few words in the press briefing room, where Jimin was especially seen to get extra attention from the reporters. The moment he stepped up to the mic to deliver his speech, fans were quick to notice that the frequency of the camera shutters increased significantly. Some reporters were even seen taking out their smartphones at that precise moment just to capture an image or video clip of him on the podium giving his speech [read here]. He looked like he was the main attraction of the show.

Following this event, numerous South Korean and international media outlets have reported on BTS' visit to the White House, and yet again, fans have noticed that there has been a special focus on Jimin all through the different news features, be it in digital media or on television news channels.

So far, there have been numerous major South Korean television news channels that have specifically highlighted Jimin by using Jimin-focused footage in their reports on this event, showing Jimin's impact as a 'front-man.' Among those that used Jimin-centered footage are SBS News on various bulletins throughout the day, Channel A, Yonhap News, MBN, MBC, and JTBC. Sky News channel in Saudi Arabia and Seputar Indonesia are some of the international TV stations that also maintained focus on Jimin through their report on the visit.

Aside from the broadcasting stations, digital media has had the same level of attention on Jimin. Numerous publications singled out his part of the speech when reporting on the visit, showing how much his words resonated with many and also how popular and impactful he is.

Among such publications include articles by reputable major international media houses like Bloomberg, NPR, NME, Reuters, PBS, Los Angles Times, The Guardian, E News, Rappler, Market Watch, and many more. Over 25 such media entities around the world have so far written pieces while highlighting Jimin's speech in their articles.

Other media houses posted images of Jimin on their SNS pages while reporting on the event.

Celebrities from all around the globe were no exception to 'the Jimin effect,' with many of them sharing images of Jimin as he delivered his speech, on their social media platforms. Be it musicians, artists, actresses, and actors as well as writers; everyone had eyes for Jimin only.

Numerous verified accounts also highlighted and/or mentioned Jimin in their posts on Twitter.

Being the talk of the event and the main attraction, Jimin took over Twitter trends and entered the worldwide trends list, with JIMIN JIMIN amassing over 1 million tweets.

This is not the first time that Jimin is highlighted in media reports on BTS' activities. K-media has accorded him the title of 'Korea's frontman' precisely because of such occurrences whereby he tends to be at the center of the spotlight always due to his charisma and eloquence, not to mention his unbelievable beauty with perfect body portions. The case is always the same in BTS concerts as well [refer herehere, and here] and other matters such as educational matters [read here].
