According to media outlet reports on April 21, the lead cast of tvN's 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' season 2 recently held their first script reading earlier this week. 

Reports stated that season 1's original cast members Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum attended this script reading session, joined by a new cast member, Kim So Yeon. Actress Jo Bo Ah, the female lead of season 1, will not be returning for season 2. Previously, tvN confirmed that the second season of 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' would take place in the 1930's, during the Japanese colonial era. 

Now, additional details have revealed that season 2 of 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' will follow the story's hero Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) as he hunts down evil spirits on the peninsula. Viewers will also be able to delve deeper into Lee Rang (Kim Bum)'s past, and get to know a new character, a mysterious guardian deity herself.
