BTS' Jimin becomes the first and only Korean soloist to surpass 700M combined streams on Spotify with just four tracks

Even without an official solo debut, Jimin has been making waves with all his solo songs released under the BTS discography. Each solo song in the different BTS albums has set and holds records on various music buying and streaming platforms, establishing him as one of the industry heavyweights and making fans anticipate his solo debut even more.

Spotify data collected as of February 12th indicated that Jimin had now surpassed 700 million combined streams on the platform with his four solo tracks, namely Filter, Serendipity (Full Length Edition), Intro: Serendipity, and Lie. This made him the first and only Korean soloist to achieve this feat with just four solo tracks on the largest music streaming platform in the world.

Of note is that 'Lie' holds the record as the most-streamed solo song from the group's 'Wings' album on Spotify and the second most streamed song overall only second to the title track. Moreover, the song just recently became eligible for RIAA Gold Certification after it was reported to have sold over 500k units in the US. This made it the first song from the 'Wings' album, the first song written by a BTS member, and the first unpromoted Korean solo song to achieve this feat, setting three different new records [read here].

On the other hand, 'Filter' broke the record for the biggest debut for a Korean soloist on Spotify when it was released and presently holds the record for the most-streamed solo song from the 'Map of the Soul: 7' album with over 252 million streams, making it fastest Korean Male solo, unpromoted Korean solo, and B-Side to accomplish the feat on Spotify. It is also the second most-streamed BTS solo song overall, achieving this feat in just under two years since its release, and ranks 8th among BTS' most popular tracks on Spotify as of February 13th.

With the news of this new achievement, fans took to Twitter to congratulate Jimin, resulting in various keywords and hashtags entering Twitter trends such as SPOTIFY KING JIMIN, KING JIMIN, and #JiminSpotify700M among others.

Here is what some of the fans had to say as they sent their congratulatory messages to Jimin and celebrated his achievement.

Congratulations to Jimin! He will definitely continue to set more records on Spotify.
