SHINee’s Taemin voted as the 2022 “Valentine’s Boy”

SHINee’s Taemin was voted as the 2022 ‘Valentine’s Boy.’  Taemin won first place in a poll conducted by fandom social network platform FANTOO in January.  Taemin edged out other prominent artists to take the win and became the artist to represent this year’s Valentine’s Day.  Taemin received a great amount of support with a total of 46.14%.  

Taemin debuted at 14 in 2008 with SM Entertainment's five-member boy-group SHINee as the maknae (Korean term for youngest one) or youngest member.  Taemin has long been adored by his hyungs (Korean term for older brothers) or older members in SHINee who were known to walk Taemin to school. Taemin’s adorableness and cuteness have been a description often given to him despite his sexy and charismatic stage presence. So it’s no wonder Taemin easily captured the attention of people globally.

To celebrate the above win, FANTOO had fans submit a video of which one was chosen; as such, the 15-second video showcases Taemin’s charisma.  The video was first released for the month of February on a large outdoor billboard at Yeouido Seoul Marina. 

The video also aired before and after Mnet’s ‘MCountdown’ broadcast on February 10.  It will continue to air throughout the month. The On-Air schedule is pictured below.  Everyone, look forward to seeing Taemin’s “Be My Valentine” video for the remainder of February.
