Upcoming girl group H1-KEY's agency GLG to join hands with Sony Music Korea to expand H1-KEY's market overseas

AKP STAFF

On January 2, upcoming girl group H1-KEY's agency GLG announced that they will be partnering up with Sony Music Entertainment Korea (hereafter Sony Music) to introduce H1-KEY to overseas markets.

In the statement released, GLG said:

"We recently signed a partnership contract with Sony Music.

Our Artist H1-KEY who are about to make their debut in South Korea on January 5 will enter overseas music markets with full support from Sony Music."

GLG entertainment is best known for their strong management team consisting of CEO Han Jae Chul from Sidus and JTM Entertainment, director Hwang Hyun Hee from SM Entertainment and more.

Meanwhile, the predebut group previously caused controversies as Thai-member Sitala was uncovered to come from an elite family who has actively participated in anti-democratic movements in Thailand.

The group will be making their debut with their 1st single 'Athletic Girl' on January 5, 6PM KST.

Interesting... well, the previous controversy has already gotten them attention, and perhaps they can benefit that even if it's bad attention i.e all press is good. Yeah there's boycotts and criticism, but people will check them out because of it.

But it's a bit early to think about expanding internationally before debuting. Focus on getting a following domestically. I can't see this group getting that much international attention that early on, but I guess we'll wait until debut to see what happens.
