A fan's comment made Girls' Generation's Sooyoung cry.
Sooyoung held a live stream recently, and one SONE made her particularly emotional. The fan expressed about Girls' Generation's debut song, "I was in my second year of middle school during Girls' Generation's 'Into the New World', and I'm 30 now. I'm happy that I got to spend the same generation as you, unni."
She then responded tearing up, "I watched the 'Into the New World' music video yesterday. We were so young and pretty. Now that I see this comment, it makes me cry. Congratulations on your 30th birthday. Being 30 isn't that big of a deal. I was happy that I could be there for your middle school and high school years too. Will you allow me to be a part of your 30s as well?"
The fan then said, "I'll do my best, unni."
