BTS’s Jungkook was recently asked to share his thoughts regarding his positive impact on homegrown businesses and the retail industry in an Interview with Weverse Magazine. It is a well-known fact that Jungkook has shaken the retail industry with his brand power numerous times by selling out products with one use or mention and caused nationwide and global “Sold Out” items on multiple occasions. 

Jungkook shared that during the pandemic, businesses and restaurants are not doing well, so he was happy to have had a positive influence that helped people during difficult times.

“So if I had an effect on even one person, it’s been worthwhile”-Jungkook, Weverse Magazine. 

Many of these homegrown businesses, such as Zingasa, Lamodechief, etc., grew from being small online-only businesses to opening physical stores in top department stores thanks to “The Jungkook Effect.” Due to Jungkook’s brand power, Teazen’s sales grew 500%, and they became globally successful after Jungkook was seen drinking Kombucha in his Live. Each company thanked him personally for his positive influence. 

Jungkook also shared that he was grateful that many of these businesses went on to make donations to worthwhile causes.

Jungkook’s impact truly goes beyond just selling out products. His brand power enables the creation of sustainable, long-term, positive ripple effects on businesses and the economy in general.
