Hearing loss charity The Snail of Love announced on September 9 that donations had come in from Kang Daniel’s fanclub DANITY for their COVID-19 initiative to provide lip-viewing masks to help individuals who rely on lip-reading to communicate.

Soon after, The Snail of Love announced that one of the infants who had received Kang Daniel and DANITY’s donations last December has undergone a successful surgery for her cochlear implant. The infant named Haeun (pseudonym) had been born with auditory nerve defects and the surgery was done in hopes to preserve as much hearing as possible.
Haeun’s parents conveyed their gratitude, “We sincerely thank Kang Daniel and his fans who aided in Haeun’s cochlear implant surgery~!”
Last December, Daniel and DANITY donated more than 99 million won for the holidays. In April, they became the first artist and fandom to be awarded The Snail of Love’s Soul-The Fan No.1 title, and Daniel personally visited the first family who received the donations.
Inspired by Daniel’s positive influence, DANITY have also been involved in various other monetary donations to charity recently, including to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, and to Good Neighbors which supports children against child abuse. Vietnamese fans also recently donated food items to a hospital.
In other recent news, Kang Daniel was selected as cure-cosmetic brand Icepray’s model as a representative icon of good influence and will soon kick off promotional activities for the brand.
