SPOILER
Are K-POP Idols More At Risk For Suicide?

As a kpop fan since 2017, over the years, I've noticed that many kpop idols are at risk for suicide.

I myself have been diagnosed of Major Depressive Disorder, Severe Anxiety, and Social anxiety since I was in grade 7. Ever since the tragic death of Kim Jonghyun (former singer of SHINEE) I've been paying more closer attention to idols and their mental health.

When 2019 came and Sulli (former singer of F(X)), Goo Hara (former singer of KARA) passed away due to suicide, and more recently Cha In Ha's death (former member of SURPRISE U, his death still hasn't been ruled as suicide but it is still a loss to the community) , I felt sad. Ever since 2017 nothing has changed as far as advocacy to idols' mental health...recently other idols have now been open about their mental health like, Kang Daniel,  former PRISTIN member Xiyeon, and Super Junior's Heechul that have been noticed.

The more we don't do anything about taking care of our idols, the more we will lose them to the darkness that is known as suicide.

We as kpop fans need to step up and find some way to help and let idols know that it is okay to feel depressed and that we still love them and still support them but also urge them to seek professional help.

The more idols we help, the more lives we save.

Let's honor those who have fallen by making some changes to the standard kpop way...
