Member V from BTS was the only kpop idol nominated against hottest western artists at the moment: Taylor Swift, Bilie Elish and Shawn Mendes.

It's not surprising that netizens selected the young singer as "the best pop musician of 2019" as BTS V is well-known for his wide vocal range, expressive vocals and unique musicality, besides being the "Trend veteran", V is the most popular BTS member gloabally according to RANKER, a digital US media company that attracts more than 50 million monthly unique visitors.
Following V, Shawn Mendes came in the 2nd place with 6.2k votes, Bilie Elish took the 3rd spot with 3k votes and Taylor Swift came at the last position with 680 votes.
