A group contributes more than 4 trillion won ($3.6B) to the Korean economy each year

CNBC is pretty credible, I think. People often argue about this 'tourists visiting Korea because of BTS' thing. But I believe it's true. I know about 20 people from my country who visited Korea in last two years. 17 out of 20 are ARMYs who really wanted to visit Korea because they know BTS. I'm planning to visit Korea soon but because of my university classes I have to plan this journey like two or three years ahead.

so believe me or not, BTS give Korea great exposure. I know people who were never interested in Korean culture and now they learn Korean. So, BTS have impact. Even bigger than hallyu. To clarify, I knew other groups before BTS. Psy was quite known by general public (well, more like Gangnam Style was known) but no other group/artist was as mainstream as BTS

Think of the countless number of groups people have discovered simply because of BTS being their entryway into kpop. People really are jealous and green with envy, why else would there be so many downvotes. Dislike them all you want, but please don't pretend as if they aren't ushering a massive wave of new fans to kpop.
