2PM's Taecyeon awarded for excellent service as active-duty soldier

2PM's Taecyeon has been awarded for his excellent service as an active-duty soldier.

On April 2, Taecyeon was given an award given to soldiers with exemplary service who not only fulfill their duties but are also role models to fellow soldiers. The 2PM member previously gave up his United States citizenship and received herniated disk surgery to serve active-duty, and he's currently serving in the 9th Armed Forces Division in Gyeonggi Province. He was also promoted early to sergeant this past February.

Taecyeon expressed, "I'm very honored and grateful to receive this award on behalf of the many people who serve in the military. I've learned so much during my time here. I'll continue to work hard until my discharge, and I'll do my best to be better."

The 2PM member's discharge from the military is schedule for May 16 KST.
