LM Entertainment is clarifying a previous report about Kang Daniel wanting to terminate his contract with the agency.

On March 3, the agency released an official statement, explaining that the idol had submitting a request regarding his contract. However, it was not a request to terminate his contract, but revise some of the contract's terms. 

"There is a misunderstanding between the company and the artist. We are actively trying our best to discuss it and come to a smooth agreement," the agency assured.

The agency's official statement comes after various sources reported that Kang Daniel has been trying to leave the agency. According to these reports, Big Bang's Seungri introduced the idol to a Hong Kong business woman in her forties back when he was with 'Produce 101' project group Wanna One. The unnamed woman has been allegedly been meeting with investors to support his future activities, thus encouraging him to leave his agency.

Meanwhile, Kang Daniel remains set to make his solo debut in April.
