JYP Entertainment has announced plans to take legal action on behalf of girl group TWICE.

On March 12, JYPE stated, "Rumors about our artists being spread on online communities can cause serious damage to their image, honor, and character due to the severity of the rumors and content of the posts. Because of this, we're announcing we plan to take all possible legal action against those who start and spread the rumors. Based on cyber defamation, libel, and other laws, those who create and circulate malicious rumors about our artists can be accused, charged, and criminally punished. We're currently collecting evidence and speaking with internal and external lawyers to discuss plans."

The agency also asked fans of TWICE to send in tips for quicker legal action.

Stay tuned for updates.
