The director of 'Miracle in Cell No. 7' will begin working on a new movie.
'Miracle in Cell No. 7' is a 2013 film that has attracted over 10 million viewers, the 8th movie to have done so in the history of Korean cinema. The director of the film, Lee Hwan Kyung, has recently announced that his next film will be based on the Operation Dawn of Gulf of Aden, a real-life incident which took place in 2011, when the South Korean navy conducted a successful operation against the Somali pirates.
So far, the final scenario is undergoing its changes under the supervision of the South Korean navy. Since the film will not be a documentary film, fictional elements are to be mixed in with factual details.
