On 25th November 2013, Korean media outlet Sports Seoul reported that TVXQ, 'the kings of Hallyu' in their 9-year career made a revenue of 1.3 trillion WON (approximately $1.1 billion USD) which makes them the highest-earning Korean act.

The duo entered military service in 2015 and discharged in 2017. 2 years of career break couldn't stop them!

Respect to one of the kings of the 2nd generation. Newer K-Pop fans may not care about them at all but they were insanely huge in K-Pop in a time where there was relatively no social media and international fans. They were like BTS and EXO but w/ no competition in sales and touring.
