Past video of The East Light allegedly reveals sounds of abuse off-camera

Another clip featuring The East Light is making headlines for allegedly revealing sounds of abuse off-camera.

JTBC has already revealed audio of verbal abuse by Media Line Entertainment CEO Kim Chang Hwan, and another video of The East Light's promotions may reveal more insight into the abuse the band's members were suffering. The video above from November of 2017 features a vlog of the group's daily schedule, and around 38 seconds, member Lee Suk Chul can be heard saying, "It was a mistake."

He repeats himself, and it sounds as if he's being hit with something as he adds, "It hurts." After a while, the other members look over, and Lee Eun Sung explains, "On the way here, Suk Chul was playing music in the car and opened the sunroof without starting the engine and doing as he pleased, so the car's battery died. He's being disciplined by our manager."

The video later cuts out, and a message states it was deleted at the request of the agency.

As previously reported, The East Light members, who are all minors, were revealed to be suffering physical and verbal abuse at the hands of their agency CEO and former producer according to testimony by Lee Suk Chul.

everybody, please go to www1.president.go.kr/petitions/411485 and click on the blue button in the middle of the page (after the petition is explained, you can translate the page into english if you do not read korean), after you click the button, you will be asked to sign in and you can do so with facebook, twitter or naver, after that you will have automatically signed the petition to bring this terrible abuse case to the president of SK so these POS CEO and managers do not avoid punishment. lets put scum to jail and help young artists have a good environment!

Is it just me, or are artists/entertainers in korea completely ignoring this story? I don't even hear people offering their sympathies, encougaging them, praising them for coming out with the abuse, anything. maybe it's just not being reported, but that's the impression I'm left and, tho not surprising, it's very disappointing.

I had literally went back to this video after hearing about the abuse! I was looking to see if I saw signs or not but I just so happened to skip at that moment.. It was right under my nose and I'm crying now. AGAIN!😭😭😭

Btw, idk who was behind the camera, but although the clip was cut.. I wonder if that low-key was a cry for help?? Even just w/ that second being left in 🤔

I just realized 2 of the members are the boys who appeared on I Can See Your Voice during Beast episode and Yoseob remembered them from an old program :(( Poor babies. I got nauseated watching the first minute of this video.

Honestly I think Suk Chul is a good leader because he's undertook all of this abuse case in the media instead of her younger brother and younger band members. I hope they will continue together.

My heart breaks for these boys. All K-pop lovers know how hard these young people work for their career. I really hope that this is not the end of their career but a start to a new and better beginning. Those people who have abused the boys must be punished. It can never be ok to do what they have done. Shout out to Lee Suk Chul who dared to speak out about the issue.

car battery died from playing music? a kid doing that is normal..a simple reprimand through talking would have sufficed

I am a parent and I am throwing a shady side eye at the parents. Now I know the majority of parents would not stand for any body abusing their children for no reason but there are those moments that some parents use the child as a means of being financial responsibility for the entire family and will guilt them into enduring. I am hoping that NONE of these young men felt like that had to accept any type of abuse for their family sakes and more so, i am hoping that none were doing it at the urge of their parents.

that's a lie obviously most idols do not drive themselves let alone have a license and can barely operate a vehicle, coupled with the fact the manager almost always has the keys means the boy could never drain the battery even if he was in it.
