On July 30, Kangin updated his Instagram for the first time in 2 years. The post consisted of a photo where he's making a finger heart against the backdrop of a sky scenery.

The idol has been on a long hiatus and "taking a time of reflection" since his drunk driving controversy and assault accusations by an alleged girlfriend.
