According to police on November 17, they received a call in the early morning of Friday that Super Junior member Kangin assaulted his girlfriend while drunk.

A representative from police told news outlets, "A police call claiming that Kangin assaulted his girlfriend came in early this morning. However, the case was resolved as the victim did not wish for legal punishment. It is unclear whether or not the victim was his girlfriend. Kangin has been released from police with a warning."
Police received the call from a pub on November 17 at 4:30 AM KST. In assault cases reported to the police, if the victim does not wish to have the assailant punished legally, the case comes to a close.
