Lee Seung Gi opened up about his difficult times.
On the July 13 airing of Mnet's 'Produce 48', the 'Nation's Representative' and MC Lee Seung Gi held a special class for the contestants.
Lee Seung Gi, who debuted with "Because You're My Woman" in 2015, quickly rose to stardom with the hit. However, Lee Seung Gi revealed he struggled due to his fast rise to stardom.
He shared, "I thought about quitting. I wanted to run away because the weight of the crown people gave me was too heavy." He continued, "I thought about choosing a different career but there wasn't anything else that I was good at. What I really wanted to do was sing. I thought about quitting because it was so hard but the thing that makes me the happiest was singing."
Lee Seung Gi shared some sincere advice to the trainees, stating, "You guys are going to have a hard time on 'Produce 48' and on. You will be receiving great attention like it or not. A small crown is already on your heads. You're going to have a hard time from the crown but you must bear the weight."
