Sakura Miyawaki's rank on 'Produce 48' has become an issue.
On the second episode of the Mnet audition program, Sakura Miyawaki had her evaluation stage. The trainers greatly looked forward to seeing her performance as she was named to be a strong candidate and a popular Japanese idol as she placed 3rd in the AKB48 general elections of 2018.
After Sakura's performance, the trainers gave her a lot of positive feedback. She was ultimately given an 'A' rank.
Unfortunately, many netizens are unaccepting of the results. It's claimed the Japanese idol doesn't deserve the 'A' rank with her "inadequate skills". Some even compared her to former IOI member Kim So Hye and said, "So Hye received an F on her first evaluation. How did Sakura get an A with that??"
More comments stated, "The Korean contestants are A++++ if Sakura gets an A with that. The standard is so low for this season compared to the previous seasons. And I feel like they are more lenient towards the Japanese contestants", "I was shocked because she sucked so much but wtf A?", "She wasn't that good. Didn't deserve that A at all..."
