On March 12, SBS announced, "Lee Jong Suk has always expressed affection for short productions, and for his friendship with Park Soo Jin PD of 'While You Were Sleeping', Lee Jong Suk decided to appear on 'Death Song' with no guarantee (payment)."
The upcoming two-episode series 'Death Song' will be a remake of a film with the same title. It tells the story of Yoon Shim Duk, the first Soprano singer of Joseon, and her lover and genius composer Kim Woo Jin. Lee Jong Suk will be playing the genius composer.
Regarding the special production, Park PD commented, "I'm confident that Lee Jong Suk will well portray Kim Woo Jin, a genius in distress and a man in love. I deeply appreciate him for happily appearing in the short production with no guarantee."
