DAY6's Jae has come forward with an apology for his previous 'McDonald's comment' that caused some controversy.

In an interview with�DJ�Bernard Park for 'Monday Music Charts', Jae stated a date was not worthy of an expensive meal if she was not satisfied with a $5 meal at McDonald's. When the DJ said it was a possibility the girl did not enjoy the date in general, the DAY6 member commented, "If that first date doesn't go well, you know she wasn't worthy of the $300. I just saved you $295."�

Some found his comment offensive as it suggests women need to undergo a gold digger test, and some also found it problematic that Jae seemed to feel he would not be responsible if the date went sour. However, others have expressed it was simply an inaccurate statement that was meant with good intentions.
