talked about the group disbanding
She had an exclusive phone interview with Star News, where she talked about the disbandment. She said, "I'm not that depressed. I'd already been preparing for the disbandment even before the news came out. It's both refreshing and disappointing."

She said, "Before our Lunar New Year break, at the end of January, the label told us that the team would probably disband. After Yulhee and Gayoung left the label in August 2017, Stellar has been going to our schedules as a 4-member group with our new members Soyoung and Youngeun."
On why the group disbanded, she said, "We got two new members, so we were going to continue as Stellar. There was a break after our last album, but we didn't even think about the possibility of Stellar disbanding. After we heard from our label that we'd disband, we rushed to prepare a fanmeeting. We didn't have any friction between the members. It was a bit awkward with us and the new members because they were new, but we'd gotten a lot closer when we started doing schedules together after August 2017."
On her label, she said, "We had hard times at our label. We didn't agree on the direction of our problems, and had friction in general. Stellar has a special place in my heart, so this decision is disappointing, but it was a decision that came after a lot of thought. After the news, I haven't been able to contact the CEO."
She talked about her future plans and said, "I haven't decided anything. I heard Yulhee and Gayoung are preparing to be actresses. I really want to keep singing, and I want to try musicals. I almost had no individual activities, so I want to try that. I can't decide on a label easily, so I want to take time and think deeply about it."
Best of luck, Hyoeun.
