On December 27, 'Along With the Gods' stated that the highly-acclaimed film will indeed be getting a sequel, scheduled to hit theatres in August 2018. A representative relayed, "Part 2 of the editing process has been finalized to a certain extent. The staff is currently focusing on the CG effects."

Furthermore, it seems the same cast from the 1st movie, consisting of actors Ha Jung Woo, Lee Jung Jae, Joo Ji Hoon, with the exception of Chae Tae Hyun, will be returning for part 2.
Ma Dong Seok has been cast for the highly-anticipated sequel, with the addition of actor Kim Min Jong.
'Along With the Gods 2' takes place a thousand years prior to the setting of the first film.
