Psy's "Gangnam Style" hits 3 Billion views on YouTube

"Gangnam Style" was a worldwide sensation shortly after it was released back on Jul 15, 2012. The music video had the highest views on any YouTube video for an impressive 1,691 days. Since it has been 1,961 days since the MV release, "Gangnam Style" has averaged around 1.53 million views a day over 5 years, 4 months, and 12 days.

No other K-pop artist is even close to 1 Billion views and Psy has a music video with 3 Billion views. His "Gentlemen" MV also has 1.1 Billion Views.

It is currently the 3rd most watched video on YouTube behind Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" and Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth's "See You Again". Although "Gangnam Style" is no longer the most-watched video on YouTube it has the distinction of being the first to reach 1 Billion views.
