During the first episode that aired on October 28, one particular contestant gained negative attention from netizens. On an online community site, an anonymous writer posted about this contestant who goes by the name of Lee Jung Ha. Netizens are complaining that this contestant is getting a pass by the judges even though he lacks talent.

The title of the post reads, "I guess 'The Unit' Lee Jung Ha is like Kim So Hye (from 'Produce 101')?" Following the title, the writer went on to explain, "Even if he's not talented, as long as he's good looking and smiles, he passes hahahaha. I guess he'll at least debut since the mentors (judges) took a liking to him..."

Users of the online community chimed in, "Rain, it was so obvious everything from the dance lessons lol", "Only Taemin and Hwang Chi Yeol didn't give him a pass but the rest of the mentors, what the heck haha. Honestly, he had no talent and his dream isn't even to be a singer but a trainee to become an actor, why is he even on this?", "I want to see contestants who are ready for another chance on the rebooting program, if there are people like him, I don't want to watch it", "Wasn't this program designed for great talents who didn't get to shine? Maybe they'll learn once it fails like 'Idol School'...", and much more.
