On September 7, MBC made an official statement through social media, "The Chuseok Special of '2017 Idol Star Athletics Championship' previously scheduled to be recorded on September 11 has been postponed due to internal issues."
The message continued, "We would like to thank everyone for your interest in the program until now, and deeply apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. �In addition, we ask those who have applied for studio admission tickets via our home page to understand during this critical time. �We apologize once again."

Prior to this, the September 4 filming for '2017 ISAC Chuseok Special' was to focus on bowling, however, filming was canceled because of the ongoing strike with MBC. �
